PENSÕES FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT FEAST
The Holy Spirit committee is taking orders for ‘pensões’ for the Holy Spirit feast in May. The donation for a ‘pensão’ is $40.00. To order a ‘pensão’, please call: Frank Fernandes (508-336-8903), Stephanie Botelho (529-8037), Ray Mendes (222-9613) or Luis Santos (440-8443).
HOLY SPIRIT FEAST SCHEDULE
Friday, May 17th
6:00 PM — Kitchen will open and malassadas will be available for sale and bazaar with prizes.
7:30 PM — The Parish “Folia” will perform a presentation.
8:00 PM — Blessing and distribution of the pensões.
Saturday, May 18th
5:00 PM — Kitchen will open with various Portuguese foods.
6:00 PM — Bazaar will open with many prizes. Presentation of Folklore Dancing by the Cranston Portuguese Club.
Sunday, May 19th
10:00 AM — Procession will leave from the church.
11:30 AM — Feast Mass and Crowning ceremony. Following the Mass, there will be a short procession followed by “Soup of the Holy Spirit” in the church hall.
5:00 PM — Kitchen and bazaar will be open.
6:00 PM — Concert by the Holy Rosary Band and the Live Auction.
9:00 PM — Drawing of the “Domingas” for 2025 and the drawing of the Feast Raffle.
PARISH TRIP TO ITALY IN 2024
We are planning a parish trip to Italy and the Amalfi Coast from September 15-24, 2024. The trip will include a tour of the city of Rome; the Wednesday audience with Pope Francis; a tour of the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel; a visit to the monastery of Montecasino; and various sites on the Amalfi coast, including Positano, Sorrento, and the ruins of Pompeii. A comissão das Festas do Espírito Santo anuncia que podem já começar a encomendar as pensões para a Festa em Maio. O preço é $40.00. HORÁRIO DA FESTA DO ESPÍRITO SANTO
Sexta-feira, dia 17 de Maio
6:00 PM — Abertura da cozinha e haverá Malassadas á venda e o Bazar.
7:30 PM — Apresentação da Folia da Paroquia.
8:00 PM — Bênção e distribuição das Pensões.
Sábado, dia 18 de Maio
5:00 PM — Abertura da cozinha com comida variada Portuguesa e Malassadas.
6:00 PM — Bazar aberto com muitos prêmios. Apresentação do Rancho Folclórico do Portuguese Cranston Club.
Domingo, dia 19 de Maio
10:00 AM — A procissão sairá da Igreja, com destino a recolher a Sétima Dominga, percorrenda nas ruas habituais da paróquia.
11:30 AM — Missa Solene da Coroação, seguida por uma procissão menor. As Sopas do Divino Espírito Santo serão servidas no Salão Paroquial.
5:00 PM — Abertura da cozinha e de bazar.
6:00 PM — O concerto pela Banda de Nossa Senhora do Rosário e as Arrematações.
9:00 PM — Sorteio das Domingas para 2025 e Sorteio da Grande Rifa da Festa.
PASSEIO PARA A ITÁLIA EM 2024
Estamos organizando um passeio para à Itália nos dias 15 até 24 de Setembro de 2024. Visitaremos a cidade de Roma; uma audiência com Papa Francisco, os museus do vaticano e a capela Sistina; uma visita a mosteiro em Montecassino, e vários sítios na Costa Amalfi, incluindo Positano, Sorrento, e as ruínas de Pompeii.
